Following on from the questionnaires I received, and thank you for doing so, we have identified a need for support for parents in the subject of Gaeilge.
Below is a list of some suitable websites for parents, that either offer resourses or online language courses.
On the last Friday of each month we are thinkingn of holding Aoine Bheo where every child is encouraged to speak and interact as Gaeilge for the day. Parents can support this initiative by encouraging "cupla focal" at home.
This is an excellent website offering resources, advice and a directory of courses available around the country. There is an option to read this page in English or Gaeilge by clicking the language link in the left hand corner. There are recommended childrens books and lists of events.
This website offers online language courses for adults for either personal or business use. These courses are provided by native Irish language speakers in Gaeltacht areas. Prices range from €20-€30.

A database of Irish terms and words searchable in either English or Irish.
The following Gaeilge learning units comprise quizzes, crosswords, interactive activities, display cards, flash cards and matching cards. All are aimed at primary level and are suitable for independent learning. Scoilnet has pages for both pupils and parents.
Seomra Ranga has downloadable resourses for parents and primary teachers such as flash cards, spellings, poems, songs, writing and reading activities.
